Job Summary
Independently develop structural design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.

Independently develop structural design to comply with Class and Technical specification requirements within assigned schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for delivering the respective project design drawing and document according to project plan schedule. Shall take on project lead role.
- Review external designer's pre-contract technical specifications, general arrangement and drawing lists. Ensure all information required for detail design development is available.
- Liaise with Owner and Classification Society for the specific design requirement compliance, review, and approval.
- Perform FE analysis using FEMAP or similar FE software is an advantage.
- Review project team members drawings or documents prior submission.
- Able to perform rule based structural calculations and review 3rd party FE analyses.
- Coordinates with detail designer / production designer and checks their processes and output.
- Communicate with the person in charge of production on trouble shooting and visiting on-site if needed.
- Minimum 8 years of relevant work experience in the marine/offshore industry Structure newbuilding engineering design.
- Familiar with AutoCAD/ Microsoft Office/ AVEVA/ Cadmatic or simillar/ FE software (advantage)
