Job Title: Senior Engineer

Role Overview

We are seeking a rare blend of technical brilliance and commercial acumen. As our Senior Engineer you will be the bridge between complex engineering capabilities and market-facing growth. You aren't just selling a product you are architecting solutions for a niche market that requires deep domain expertise.

You will lead the full lifecycle of the client relationship-from identifying new business opportunities and speaking the language of fellow engineers to managing the project delivery and closing high-value contracts.

Key Responsibilities

1. Business Development & Sales (Market Focus)

  • Identify and cultivate relationships within identified business sectors to build a robust sales pipeline.
  • Lead the Discovery phase with potential clients, translating their technical pain points into viable product/service solutions.
  • Drive the sales process from initial outreach to final contract negotiation and closing.

2. Technical Leadership & Consultation

  • Act as the primary technical subject matter expert (SME) during pre-sales and post-sales discussions.
  • Conduct technical demonstrations, proof-of-concepts (PoCs), and presentations to C-suite and engineering stakeholders.
  • Ensure that all proposed solutions are technically feasible and aligned with our core engineering capabilities.

3. Strategic Project Management

  • Oversee the transition from Closed-Won to project execution, ensuring engineering teams are aligned with client expectations.
  • Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budgets for bespoke technical implementations.
  • Serve as the high-level point of contact for clients throughout the project lifecycle to ensure satisfaction and upsell opportunities.

Candidate Profile: Qualifications & Skills

Experience

5+ years in a Senior Engineering role, with at least 3+ years in a client-facing Sales or Business Development capacity.

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in [Mechanical/Electrical/Software] Engineering or related technical field. MBA is a plus.

Technical Depth

Proven ability to read blueprints, review code, or analyze complex systems (depending on the niche).

Sales Acumen

Demonstrated track record of closing high-value deals in a B2B environment.
