Civil Engineering/Architecture
Our client, a leading construction company, is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer with solid experience in Electrical Engineering within the construction industry. In this role, you will support the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager to ensure projects are executed smoothly and successfully.
This position reports directly to the Project Manager and Assistant Project Manager.
Responsibilities
- Perform technical calculations needed for equipment selection, such as electrical systems and components.
- Review technical calculations submitted by manufacturers and customers for accuracy and compliance.
- Consult with manufacturers in advance on equipment drawing preparation and provide clear instructions.
- Verify that equipment production drawings comply with contract specifications.
- Review drawings and guide BIM operators in creating digital models.
- Monitor material delivery schedules and order deadlines follow up with suppliers as required.
- Track construction progress and suggest or implement improvements to address any delays.
- Prepare construction manuals and equipment delivery plans, ensuring thorough verification.
- Participate in meetings, coordinate with other departments, and support team members as needed.
Requirements & Preferences
(Must)
- Diploma in Electrical Engineering or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 7 years of hands-on experience and technical expertise in Electrical Engineering within the construction industry
- Willingness to work in the Tuas area (transportation provided from a designated MRT station)
- Experience working on electrical equipment projects for new construction is essential, regardless of whether it is in public or private construction.
- Ability to work on weekends or outside business hours when required
- Able to join with 1-2 months notice or short period
(Advantageous)
- Experience managing M&E projects within a Japanese construction company
- Experience supporting Project Managers or Assistant Project Managers in project execution
- Immediate availability is a plus
