Job Description

  • At least 15 years of proven experience and track record in a commercial sales or marketing management role, preferably within the Life Sciences industry
  • Previous experience leading a region, a large country, or neighboring countries with cultural differences
  • University degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong knowledge of financial and business operations with proven ability to drive margin expansion and operational improvements
  • Ability to develop creative growth strategies and guide successful execution
  • Meaningful experience in leading business functions, especially sales, marketing and commercial.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to coach, mentor, and lead employees to achieve performance objectives
  • Demonstrated experience working effectively in a multi-divisional matrix organization to achieve commercial objectives
  • Highly resilient and focused

How will you succeed

  • Collaborate with support functions (Marketing, Service Management, Customer Services, Finance, Sales Operations, Supply Chain) to develop an effective, beneficial commercial approach to enable the business
  • Maintain and nurture strong customer relationships with a hands-on approach, and act as the point to partner concern for all customer and system issues. Represent BPD APJ at the senior level during key customer negotiations.
  • Partner with Thermo Fisher teams worldwide to improve our customer experience.
  • Collaborate with Bioproduction Global & Life Sciences APJ Leadership Team to develop strategies for boosting customer value and market share.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and leadership teams to implement global strategies regionally.
  • Work alongside the Divisional/Regional commercial teams to improve the channel and go to market strategy to increase our commercial reach and efficiency.
  • Establish and control expense budgets for the Bioproduction APJ commercial operation and actively manage the success and accountability of the commercial operations planning and forecast function
  • Cultivate a successful commercial team through strong recruiting, mentoring, and leadership development. Ensure timely recognition and reward for top performers and deploy performance management actions when needed.
  • Engage in sales and leadership meetings, Monthly Business Reviews, quarterly business reviews, Annual Operating Plan, and strategic Operating planning.
