Job Summary
You will support the culinary team by preparing food items according to quality standards, maintaining cleanliness, and ensuring safe equipment use in a fast-paced bakery environment.
Responsibilities
- Follow instructions from Chef de Partie and Sous Chefs to complete assigned culinary tasks accurately
- Adapt work schedule to meet business needs, including working any day or shift as required
- Focus on completing one task fully before moving to the next to maintain efficiency
- Complete assigned work lists within the set time frames to support kitchen operations
- Ensure food quality by maintaining sanitary conditions and applying First In First Out (FIFO) kitchen practices
- Store all food products correctly in designated fridges and containers throughout the shift
- Maintain high cleanliness and sanitation standards in all culinary work areas and encourage colleagues to clean their stations after service
- Use kitchen equipment safely and properly, and guide colleagues on correct equipment use
Required competencies and certifications
- Minimum 1 year of relevant culinary experience
