Responsibilities
Provide day-to-day support to the Project Manager by assisting with project planning, progress tracking, and coordination to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
Create, update, and manage project plans, schedules, dashboards, progress reports, and other essential project management deliverables.
Track project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies, proactively identifying risks or delays and escalating issues as necessary.
Support the preparation and consolidation of weekly and monthly project status reports for internal teams and client stakeholders.
Monitor and manage project budgets, resource utilization, and timesheets in accordance with client governance and reporting requirements.
Assist with project governance activities, including steering committee meetings, project reviews, audits, and related preparation tasks.
Ensure compliance with the client's project management methodology, governance standards, and documentation guidelines.
Coordinate with workstream leaders, vendors, and cross-functional teams to promote clear communication and effective issue resolution.
Maintain the project documentation repository, ensuring proper version control and document management discipline.
Support change request processes, risk and issue tracking, and documentation of lessons learned throughout the project lifecycle.
Demonstrate strong consulting professionalism, safeguard client confidentiality, and build collaborative working relationships with client teams.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in any discipline.
At least five years of hands-on project management experience within a bank IT environment.
Demonstrated experience managing end-to-end infrastructure upgrade projects.
Strong background and practical experience in Waterfall-based project management methodologies.
Proven ability to manage stakeholders and project teams effectively.
Business-level proficiency in both English and Japanese, with the ability to communicate confidently with Japanese clients and stakeholders (mandatory).
Prior experience in core banking projects and a consulting background are required
