We are seeking an experienced and motivated Client Development & Engagement (CDE) Manager to support our newly opened Singapore office, a critical hub for the firm's growth in Southeast Asia. This is a high‑visibility role offering the opportunity to work with our partners to drive business development and marketing initiatives across Singapore and the broader Southeast Asia region.

Working closely with our partners and lawyers in Singapore (covering PE/M&A, Investment Funds, Banking & Credit, and Real Estate practices), the Manager, in close collaboration with the broader CDE team, play a key role in strengthening driving revenue opportunities, client relationships, and enhancing the firm's market profile in the region.

This role is ideal for a commercially minded, proactive self-motivated professional who thrives in an international environment and enjoys operating as both a strategic advisor and hands‑on executor. A strong understanding of the private equity and private credit ecosystem will be highly valued and is considered a significant advantage for the success in this role.

Strategic client development

  • Develop and execute business development and marketing plans aligned with the firm's strategy for Singapore and Southeast Asia, supporting priority practice areas and client segments.
  • Actively support partners with client targeting, account planning, and relationship management initiatives to drive sustainable growth.
  • Provide market and competitive intelligence on Singapore and Southeast Asia trends, client activity, and peer firm positioning.

Pitches, Proposals & Client Pursuits

  • Lead and coordinate high‑quality pitches, proposals, and credentials, ensuring compelling, client‑focused messaging.
  • Maintain master pitch documents, and ensuring the latest information is reflected.
  • Support partners on key client pursuits, including opportunity spotting, research, marketing trips, and coordination with regional and global teams.

Marketing, Events & Brand Building

  • Working with Asia Events team, to plan, coordinate, and deliver client engagement activities including seminars, roundtables, client events, sponsorships, and partners marketing trips across Southeast Asia.
  • Partner with the firm's communications team to support PR and media opportunities, enhancing the firm's profile in Singapore and the region.
  • Identify and promote thought leadership opportunities to position partners and lawyers as market leaders.

Content, Directories & Infrastructure

  • Manage and maintain Singapore, and Southeast Asia‑specific marketing collateral, online content, lawyers biographies, and experience descriptions.
  • Coordinate and prepare legal directory and awards submissions, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and timely delivery.
  • Maintain BD infrastructure, including tracking and reporting of pitches, conferences, client meetings, and referrals.

Reporting, ROI & Regional Coordination

  • Track and analyze BD activity, metrics, and ROI for events, campaigns, and BD initiatives.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for BD operations in Singapore, ensuring seamless coordination with Asia‑Pacific and global BD, communications, and business services teams.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of BD processes and best practices across the region.

Personality, Skills and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Minimum 8 years business development experience, ideally in a law firm, professional services or financial services environment.
  • Strong understanding of the Southeast Asia legal market and private equity/ credit ecosystem.
  • Familiar with MS Outlook skills (PowerPoint, Excel, Word and Outlook).
  • Ability to work independently with strong organizational skills, managing multiple priorities and stakeholders effectively.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with business writing experience; and excellent research and analytical skills.
  • Team player who thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing environment.
  • Chinese skills desired.
