Overview
The Care Support Associate supports nursing staff in delivering patient‑centred care through clinical, operational, and ward support duties.
Job Responsibilities
- Support Registered Nurses (RNs) and Enrolled Nurses (ENs) in the delivery of safe, timely, and quality patient care in inpatient wards
- Provide direct patient care, including personal hygiene, elimination needs, feeding assistance, repositioning, and mobility support
- Perform and accurately document patients vital signs and basic clinical observations
- Assist in patient admissions, examinations, procedures, transfers, and discharges
- Support nursing and clinical procedures, including wound care assistance, IV‑related support, bladder scans, and emergency response initiation
- Coordinate ward activities such as bed management, patient movements, and visitor management
- Provide basic patient and family education on ward orientation and infection control practices
- Perform clerical and documentation support, including medical records handling and discharge‑related tasks
Requirements
- Minimum NITEC / Higher NITEC / Diploma or equivalent
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Able to read, write, and converse in simple English
- Willing to work 3 rotating shifts, including weekends and Public Holiday
- Morning Shift: 8.00am end between 4.00pm to 6.00pm
- Afternoon Shift: start between 11.00am to 1.00pm and end between 7.00pm to 9.00pm
- Night Shift: 8.00pm to 8.00am
