Overview of the job

Do you want to lead marketing and commercial plans for one of our billion-dollar brands The Senior Brand Manager (Japan Market) identifies business opportunities and works with the multi-functional team to build cohesive commercial plans! You are expected to lead and collaborate with different subject matter experts to deliver end-to-end plans for Japan / Korea via qualifying communication ideas, adjusting portfolio pricing and identifying shopping barriers and opportunities.

Responsibilities

  • Identify Japanese consumer needs and provide actionable insights to R&D and technical teams to design winning products and packaging
  • Lead consumer research to develop qualified brand concepts, benefits, and claims addressing unmet needs in the Japan market
  • Communicate effectively with Japanese local partners, stakeholders, and suppliers to advance P&G business initiatives
  • Lead creative agencies to develop culturally relevant communication ideas and oversee TV copy production for Japan
  • Develop and deploy marketing toolkits including copy, print, digital banners, social and eCommerce content, sampling, in-store activations, and demos, guiding the Japan delivery team for execution
  • Coordinate with R&D and Consumer Research teams to validate product and packaging through testing
  • Craft promotion and pricing strategies, and define customer and distributor trade terms with the local trade team
  • Collaborate with technical teams to optimize supply chain solutions and manage product costs within budget

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • College degree (Bachelor's or Master's), preferably with a business focus
  • At least 1.5 years of FMCG experience focused on the Japan markets
  • Business proficiency in Japanese and strong market knowledge of Japan to develop brand equity and marketing strategies
  • Strategic and analytical thinking skills to drive innovation and brand growth
  • Strong communication and teamwork capabilities
  • Courageous leadership with forward-thinking strategic abilities
