A) Roles and Responsibilities
Candidate is to be cross trained on both Boarding Operations and Warehouse Operations to have a sound understanding of Overall Operation flow.
Roles and Responsibilities include
. Load, transport, and deliver goods to vessels according to assigned routes and schedules.
. Attend to the deliveries on board the vessel to ensure delivery documents are endorsed, establish a close rapport and working relationship with vessel crew and managers
. Ensure the correct items and quantities are delivered as per delivery orders and invoices
. Submit attendance report after completion of delivery complete with full set of endorsed delivery documents and permits
. Comply with port authority and maritime safety regulations when entering restricted areas.
. Take responsibility for assigned vehicle and cargo to ensure safety and road worthiness (I.E. visual inspections, even loading , proper lashing)
. Communicate with warehouse IC, operations team, and vessel personnel to coordinate smooth deliveries.
. Adhere to company policies, local traffic claws, and safety standards at all times
. Assist Inventory management and control for our 3PL (VMI) department
. Assist basic warehousing jobs (receiving, checking , packing and putting away)
. Adhere to proper PPE and safety standards when assisting in warehouse
. Adhere to daily housekeeping and hygiene standards
B) Core Technical Skills
. Forklift license
. Class 3 driving license. Class 4 is a plus
. Computer literacy skills (Outlook, Excel, Word)
. Enterprise resource Planning System
. PSA Safety Certification
C) Core Personal Attributes
. Strong organizational and time-management skills
. Works efficiently in a generally fast-paced environment, with the ability to manage added pressure during seasonal or peak demand periods
. Attention to detail and accuracy
. Problem-solving and communication skills
. Pleasant disposition and customer oriented attitude
