We are seeking a proactive and analytically-minded SEM Associate to join our growing performance marketing team, with a specific focus on our Western markets (e.g., North America, Europe, Australia). This is an excellent entry-level to junior role for someone passionate about digital advertising and eager to build a career in paid search. You will work closely with the SEM Manager to execute and optimize campaigns, directly contributing to our user acquisition and revenue growth in highly competitive travel landscapes.

What You'll Do

Campaign Execution & Optimization Support:

  • Assist in the day-to-day management and optimization of large-scale paid search campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Ads, and other platforms.
  • Implement bid adjustments, budget changes, keyword expansions, and negative keyword additions as directed.
  • Support the creation and testing of new ad copy, ad extensions, and campaign structures.
  • Ensure proper tracking and tagging is in place for accurate performance measurement.

Performance Monitoring & Reporting

  • Pull, compile, and analyze campaign performance data from various sources (Google Ads, Google Analytics, internal dashboards).
  • Generate regular performance reports for the SEM Manager and other stakeholders, highlighting key trends and observations.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for improvement based on data insights.

Keyword & Ad Creative Management

  • Conduct thorough keyword research to identify new opportunities and maintain comprehensive negative keyword lists.
  • Support the refreshing and optimization of ad creative assets.

Competitive Analysis & Market Research

  • Assist in monitoring competitor activities in paid search across Western markets.
  • Stay informed about general SEM industry trends, platform updates, and best practices.

Collaboration & Learning

  • Work closely with the SEM Manager to understand strategic goals and translate them into actionable tasks.
  • Collaborate with Data Analytics, Content, and Product teams to ensure alignment and leverage insights.
  • Actively participate in training and development opportunities to enhance SEM expertise.

What You'll Need (Capabilities)

  • 1+ years of hands-on experience in Search Engine Marketing (SEM)/Paid Search, either from an internship, agency, or in-house role.
  • Working knowledge of Google Ads platform (certification is a plus). Familiarity with Microsoft Ads is advantageous.
  • Strong analytical aptitude with comfort working with numbers and large datasets.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, basic formulas) is essential.
  • Familiarity with Google Analytics or similar web analytics platforms.
  • Basic understanding of digital marketing concepts (e.g., CPC, CPA, CTR, Conversion Rate).
  • Excellent attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Proactive, eager to learn, and a self-starter who can take initiative.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Statistics, Economics, or a related field.
  • Fluency in English is required. Proficiency in additional Western European languages (e.g., French, German, Spanish,Italian) is a plus.

Bonus Points

  • Experience within the travel or e-commerce industry.
  • Exposure to SQL or data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker Studio).
  • Experience with A/B testing or conversion rate optimization (CRO).
  • Python or another programming language or fluency in vibe coding
