Job Description

This pivotal position sits within the Global Engagement team under NTU's Career & Attachment Office. It plays a strategic role in supporting NTU's responsibilities as the lead coordinator for both the Africa Ready Talent (ART) Programme and India Ready Talent (IRT) programme - initiatives jointly supported by Singapore's Ministry of Trade and Industry and Enterprise Singapore (ESG). The programme brings together Institutes of Higher Learning (IHLs) across Singapore to foster talent development with organisations in India and Africa nations. The role primarily manages ART programme while handling the business development for both ART and IRT.

Job Description

Programme Management

  • Develop programme execution plan and timeline for each ART and IRT campaign.

  • Manage promotional outreach campaigns to increase participation from students and organisations.

  • Execute outreach activities, manage students application and placement process for ART.

  • Offer advice and guidance to IHLs, organisations and students about ART.

  • Curate internship job descriptions and collate suitable internship opportunities.

  • Support in other overseas internship programmes and administrative work assigned.

Business Development & Stakeholders Management

  • Actively source and engage new partners for internship opportunities in India and Africa nations.

  • Maintain strong relationship with existing partners and sponsors.

  • Facilitate potential job hiring needs and interests from partnering organisation.

  • Coordinate with all stakeholders to facilitate communication and processes.

  • Liaise with partnering organisations and consult with relevant authorities to obtain essential information on JDs, visas, etc.

Strategy management and reporting

  • Develop strategic plan to meet KPI for ART and IRT.

  • Study and review feedback from host organisations and students.

  • Collate interesting stories for future outreach and awareness.

  • Collate relevant information and data for reporting and analysis.

  • Manage utilization of funds. Prepare reports for audit and submit claims.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years working experience, preferably in programme/project management, event management and/or business development ideally in the education sector.

  • Prior experience working in or with organisations in India, Africa nations and other emerging markets will be an advantage.

  • Conversant in global hiring trends, economic climate, hiring process and practices and career development for tertiary education.

  • Good communication, interpersonal and marketing skills.

  • Highly independent, self-driven and comfortable to travel alone to emerging markets.

  • Able to appreciate multi-culturalism and diversity.
