POSITION SUMMARY:
We are looking for Senior Data & AI Specialist in SIngapore for a hybrid based posiiton for our client. This is a manage service long term contract role.
This role operates at an organisational and architectural level, defining the platform strategy, setting technical direction, and leading cross-functional delivery of mission-critical solutions. Beyond hands-on technical excellence, this position is expected to shape governance models, influence enterprise-wide adoption strategies, contribute to the broader Microsoft ecosystem community, and provide executive-level advisory on Power Platform investment and roadmap decisions.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Platform Strategy & Architecture
- Define and own the enterprise Power Platform architecture strategy, including environment topology, tenant architecture, security boundaries, and multi-region considerations.
- Lead the design of reference architectures for high-complexity, high-availability solutions spanning Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and Code Apps.
- Evaluate new Power Platform capabilities, preview features, and roadmap items; advise leadership on adoption timing, risk, and organisational readiness.
- Establish and enforce enterprise-wide standards for solution design, performance, scalability, and maintainability across all Power Platform workloads.
- Drive decisions on platform extensibility when to use low-code, when to use PCF, when to use Code Apps, and when to integrate with Azure-native services.
Advanced Solution Development
- Architect and personally deliver the most complex, high-stakes solutions across the full Power Platform stack, serving as the technical lead when no one else in the organisation can.
- Design and build enterprise-grade Canvas Apps, Model-Driven Apps, and Power Pages with deep integration into Dataverse, Azure, and third-party systems.
- Develop Power Apps Code Apps using code-first frameworks (React, Vue) via Visual Studio Code and the Power Apps CLI/@microsoft/power-apps npm client library, with full understanding of the Code Apps architecture, managed platform capabilities (Entra auth, DLP, Conditional Access, connector access), and current limitations (no mobile/Windows support, no Power BI integration, no Git integration).
- Implement advanced Power Automate patterns including complex orchestration, exception and retry strategies, custom connector development, and event-driven integration with Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and API Management.
- Build enterprise Power BI semantic models, complex DAX, composite models, deployment pipelines, and Fabric integration for advanced analytics scenarios.
- Extend Power Platform through PCF (PowerApps Component Framework) custom controls using TypeScript/React, and AI Builder for intelligent automation scenarios.
Governance, CoE & Platform Operations
- Own the organisation's Power Platform Centre of Excellence (CoE) strategy and execution, including the CoE Starter Kit, maturity model assessment, and continuous improvement roadmap.
- Design and govern ALM frameworks: branching strategies, solution layering, automated deployment pipelines via Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions, and environment promotion gates.
- Define DLP policy architecture across all environments; lead exception review processes and advise on cross-tenant data governance.
- Own licensing strategy and optimisation across the Power Platform estate (per-user, per-app, pay-as-you-go, Power Apps Premium for Code Apps end-users).
- Establish monitoring, health metrics, and operational runbooks for production Power Platform environments using Power Platform Admin Center and Microsoft Fabric.
- Lead incident response and root cause analysis for critical production failures across the Power Platform estate.
Technical Leadership & Mentorship
- Act as the principal technical authority and escalation point for all Power Platform developers (L100L300) across the organisation.
- Mentor and coach Power Platform developers across all levels (L100L300), providing structured guidance on technical skills, solution design, career progression, and professional development through regular 1-on-1s, pair development sessions, and formal review cycles.
- Define and maintain the organisation's Power Platform skill framework, competency model, and career progression criteria.
- Design and deliver internal training programmes, capability uplift initiatives, and communities of practice.
- Conduct architecture reviews, code audits, and solution assessments; produce findings reports with prioritised remediation roadmaps.
- Represent the organisation's Power Platform practice in external forums, Microsoft FastTrack engagements, and industry events.
Stakeholder & Executive Engagement
- Partner with C-suite and senior business leaders to identify digital transformation opportunities and translate them into Power Platform investment decisions.
- Produce and present strategic roadmaps, business cases, and platform capability briefings for executive audiences.
- Lead pre-sales and advisory engagements with internal stakeholders or external clients, providing expert guidance on Power Platform fit, feasibility, and value.
- Manage relationships with Microsoft account teams, FastTrack architects, and partner ecosystem contacts.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Postgraduate qualifications in enterprise architecture, cloud computing, or digital transformation are advantageous.
Experience:
- Minimum 810 years of hands-on Microsoft Power Platform development experience.
- At least 34 years in a principal, lead architect, or expert capacity with cross-organisational or enterprise-wide scope.
- Demonstrable experience delivering mission-critical, high-complexity Power Platform solutions at scale.
- Experience operating in regulated industries (finance, government, healthcare) or large enterprise environments is strongly preferred.

Technical Skills:
- Expert-level mastery of the full Power Platform stack: Power Apps (Canvas, Model-Driven, Code Apps), Power Automate, Power BI, Power Pages, Copilot Studio, and AI Builder.
- Deep expertise in Microsoft Dataverse: schema design, plugin development, custom APIs, virtual tables, Dataverse for Teams, and the Common Data Model.
- Advanced Power Apps Code Apps development: code-first web apps using React/Vue, Power Apps CLI, @microsoft/power-apps npm client library, local development workflows, Power Platform hosting and ALM, and full understanding of managed platform capabilities and current limitations.
- Expert-level knowledge of Azure integration patterns: API Management, Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Service Bus, Event Grid, Azure AD B2C, and Key Vault.
- Proficiency in PCF (PowerApps Component Framework) custom control development using TypeScript and React.
- Advanced DAX, M Query, and Power BI semantic modelling; experience with Microsoft Fabric and Azure Synapse Analytics.
- Deep understanding of Power Platform security architecture: Dataverse security roles, column-level security, Azure AD Conditional Access, DLP policy design, and tenant isolation.
- Fluency in ALM practices: automated deployment pipelines, solution packaging, managed/unmanaged environments, and GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
Required Certifications
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Solution Architect Expert (PL-600) mandatory.
- Microsoft Certified: Power Platform Developer Associate (PL-400) mandatory.
- Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate (PL-300) mandatory.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305) strongly preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate (AZ-204) preferred.
- Microsoft Certified: Cybersecurity Architect Expert (SC-100) preferred for governance-focused roles.
