- Air Network Design, Air Network Planning & ImplementationDevelop and implement short-term and long-term air network roadmaps aligned with business demand, peak seasons, and operational constraints, including fleet and slot availability.Create network design artifacts (e.g., High-Level Design - HLD Concept of Operations - ConOps) covering lanes, schedules, and handover points.Run scenario modeling (best/expected/worst case) to evaluate capacity, resilience, and cost-to-serve, and recommend route adjustments or additional lift as needed.Analyze and optimize air freight networks to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance overall performance.Plan and manage cargo capacity to meet demand, factoring in aircraft type, scheduling, and seasonal fluctuations.Standardize planning templates and SOPs to ensure repeatable, auditable delivery across regions.
- Stakeholder engagement including liaison with Field Ops Managing International Air Linehaul, Strategic Network Alliances, Business Planning, Program & Project Management, Business Continuity/ Crisis Management Leadership.Work closely with airlines, ground handlers, customs authorities, and other stakeholders to coordinate and streamline air freight operationsLiaise with airlines, ground handlers, and strategic network partners to coordinate changes and secure capacity.Communicate clearly across internal and external stakeholders align on deliverables, readiness, and acceptance criteria.Stay informed about international air freight regulations, customs requirements, and industry standards to ensure compliance and smooth operations.Identify areas for improvement in processes and systems and implement changes to enhance overall effectiveness and efficiency.lead end-to-end project planning and implementation for network changes (new lanes, retimes, aircraft swaps) including milestones, dependencies, and stage gates.Maintain project tracker, risk registers and mitigation plans track weekly progress and variances publish regular updates for stakeholders.
- Operations Research, Product Launches, QDM, Service Quality, QPI, Ops Excellence, Operations Technology & Systems, P&P Process Compliance. Utilize and implement technology solutions, such as capacity management systems and shipment tracking tools, to enhance operational efficiency and visibility. Identify potential risks in air freight operations and develop strategies to mitigate them, ensuring the safety and security of cargo.Optimize utilization by leveraging data to propose optimization solution and minimize waste in the network
You will be a great fit if you have:
- Relevant at least 7 years of experience in air freight planning, logistics, or a related field is typically required. Experience with international logistics is often an asset.
- A bachelor's degree in logistics, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field is often required. Advanced degrees or certifications may be preferred.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills are crucial for assessing and optimizing air freight operations.
- Effective communication skills are essential for collaborating with diverse stakeholders and conveying complex information clearly.
- Familiarity with relevant software and technology tools used in air freight planning and logistics.
- Understanding of international air freight regulations, customs procedures, and compliance requirements.
- Given the precision required in air freight operations, attention to detail is critical to avoid errors and ensure smooth cargo movements.
- The ability to adapt to changing circumstances, such as weather disruptions, regulatory changes, or unexpected events, is important in the dynamic field of air freight planning and engineering.
