Key Responsibilities:
Prepare monthly and annual full sets of management accounts in accordance with Singapore Financial Reporting Standards (FRS), including:
- Bookkeeping and posting of accounting entries
- Generating sales invoices
- Maintaining accurate accounting records
Maintain accounting schedules such as:
- Bank reconciliations
- Fixed assets
- Receivables, prepayments, payables, accruals, loans, leases, etc.
- Prepare consolidated group accounts for larger client groups
- Draft annual financial statements (consolidated/separate) in accordance with FRS
- Convert financial statements to XBRL format for ACRA filing
- Prepare corporate income tax computations and returns in compliance with the Income Tax Act 1947
- Handle withholding tax filings under Section 45 of the Income Tax Act
- Prepare and submit quarterly GST returns and reconciliations under the GST Act 1993
- Coordinate and support year-end audit processes
- Liaise with internal corporate secretarial team to ensure timely Annual Return filings
- Communicate complex technical matters clearly to clients and stakeholders
- Build and maintain strong client relationships
- Review work prepared by junior team members
- Perform other ad-hoc accounting and tax-related tasks as required
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or equivalent professional qualification (e.g., ACCA)
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in audit and/or accounting
- Strong technical knowledge of Singapore FRS, especially FRS 110 and FRS 28, and corporate tax regulations
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Self-motivated, independent, and eager to learn
- Proficient in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word)
