PURPOSE:
- Support preparation of FBAP legal accounting book ensuring compliance with all local accounting, tax and
- regulatory requirements and standards
- Lead / support daily FBAP finance operations
- Lead / support process improvement initiatives within FBAP and the group
- Lead / support compliance monitoring activities and improvement of governance in financial accounting
- practices within FBAP and the group
- Prepare for documents for tax related inquiries from FBAP tax team.
RESPONSIBILITIES & TASKS:
- Assist manager to oversee daily operations of the finance function. Support operations as needed.
- Check for compliance with group accounting policies and group guidelines
- Support month-end close activities
- Prepare and review accounting schedules and balances
- Prepare accurate and timely report for stakeholders
- Initiate / support improvements in processes / finance operations and related areas.
- Collaborate with shared service centre on daily operations and process improvements
- Review OpCos compliance / monitoring reports. Suggest / initiate / lead improvements as needed. Provide
- timely reporting to Corporate in a timely manner
- Review and liaise with subsidiaries on legal accounting numbers
- Support preparations for tax related inquiries based on requests of FBAP tax managers
- Lead / support finance related projects to improve productivity, compliance or governance and provide
- recommendations for improvements. This also includes the broad spectrum of project management activities.
- Support Accounting Enhancement Project led by Finance Project Team
- Lead other ad-hoc projects & duties as assigned
To succeed in this role, you will need to possess the following qualifications, skills and experiences:
- 5 years of experience in accounting operations, or in an audit environment
- Degree in Accountancy
- CPA preferred
- Experience in Big 4 is preferred (2-3 years or more)
- Strong Microsoft office skills, especially Excel
- Solid experience within MNC environment
- Solid experience in process improvement implementation
- Experience with Cognos Controller is advantageous
- Experience in ERP systems (preferably Oracle)
- Experience in compliance & controls
- Experience in taxation matters
- Strong project management skills.
