Company Overview

Bromat is a listed company on the Catalist Board of SGX-ST. Bromat is a leading lifestyle F&B player.

The Senior Accountant manages full-spectrum accounting for assigned entities and leads group consolidation, financial reporting, and compliance processes quarterly to ensure accurate, timely financial information supporting statutory reporting and management decisions.

Responsibilities

  • Manage full sets of accounts for assigned subsidiaries, including general ledger, accounts receivable/payable, fixed assets, inventory, and accruals to ensure accurate financial records
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements that comply with applicable accounting standards such as SFRS and IFRS
  • Execute timely month-end and year-end closing processes to meet reporting deadlines
  • Review and prepare balance sheet schedules, resolving reconciling items to maintain accurate financial positions
  • Prepare group consolidation on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis, including intercompany reconciliations and eliminations to ensure consolidated financial accuracy
  • Perform elimination of unrealised profits and equity consolidation where applicable to reflect true group financial status
  • Maintain and update consolidation workings and schedules to support consistent group reporting
  • Prepare consolidated financial statements and handle consolidation adjustments, including foreign currency translation, to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Support group-level financial analysis and provide variance explanations to inform management decisions
  • Coordinate preparation of unaudited and audited financial statements by liaising with auditors, company secretaries, and external advisors to ensure compliance with statutory requirements
  • Assist in monitoring compliance with the Companies Act and other statutory regulations to uphold legal standards
  • Support preparation of corporate income tax and GST computations to facilitate accurate tax filings
  • Collaborate with tax agents on tax filings and queries to ensure timely and accurate submissions

Required competencies and certifications

  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • Professional qualification preferred (CA, ACCA or equivalent)

Preferred competencies and qualifications

  • 3-5 years of relevant accounting experience
  • Hands-on experience in group consolidation, multi-entity environments, and audit coordination
  • Proficient in Excel, including pivot tables, formulas, and consolidation models
  • Experience with accounting systems and consolidation tools
