We are seeking a detail-oriented and hands-on Senior Accountant to join our finance team in a dynamic hotel environment. This role will be responsible for managing core accounting functions including General Ledger (GL), Accounts Payable (AP), and Fixed Assets (FA), ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee full set of accounts with focus on General Ledger (GL) functions
- Manage and review Accounts Payable (AP) processes, ensuring timely and accurate payments
- Maintain and monitor Fixed Assets (FA) register, including capitalization, depreciation, and disposals
- Perform month-end closing, journal entries, and balance sheet reconciliations
- Prepare and analyze financial reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with internal policies
- Support audit requirements and liaise with external auditors
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards and tax regulations (e.g. GST)
- Assist in process improvements and strengthening internal controls
- Work closely with operational departments (e.g. F&B, Rooms) on financial matters
Requirements
- Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience, preferably in hotel or hospitality industry
- Strong knowledge of GL, AP, and Fixed Assets accounting
- Familiar with hotel systems (e.g. Opera, SunSystems, or similar) is an advantage
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
