Job Summary
Support the Assistant Security Manager in leading the Security Department to maintain a safe and secure environment within the hotel. Supervise security personnel, conduct training, and manage security operations to protect guests, employees, and property.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Assistant Security Manager to organize the Security Department to meet management's security requirements and provide expert advice on security matters
- Supervise security personnel to ensure compliance with operational instructions and effective performance of their duties
- Assist in delivering on-the-job training to new security staff and evaluate their competency to ensure readiness for operational responsibilities
- Transfer essential security knowledge and skills to security officers to enhance team capability and performance
- Monitor hotel premises and perimeter to identify potential criminal activities, maintain peace, and implement appropriate remedial actions promptly
- Conduct thorough investigations of incidents involving guests and employees, and prepare detailed reports to inform management decisions
- Perform regular patrols of hotel grounds and perimeter to detect and deter criminal activity and ensure overall safety
- Execute static security duties at key locations such as the hotel lobby and Security Office to maintain a visible security presence
- Support the management of casual labour to ensure adequate staffing and operational efficiency
- Provide security coverage and coordinate security operations during special functions and events to safeguard attendees and property
