Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Scaffolding Supervisor to lead scaffolding teams, ensuring safe, efficient scaffold construction, alteration, and dismantling. You will uphold project safety standards and collaborate with construction professionals to deliver quality outcomes on schedule.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily scaffolding operations on construction sites to ensure project progress and safety
- Enforce compliance with health and safety regulations to maintain a secure work environment
- Coordinate assembly and dismantling of scaffolding structures aligned with project requirements
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of scaffolding materials and equipment to ensure safety and functionality
- Train and supervise scaffolding teams, providing clear guidance and performance feedback
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and construction professionals to support effective project execution
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation related to scaffolding activities for project tracking and compliance
- Resolve scaffolding-related issues promptly to minimize project delays and safety risks
- Interpret blueprints and schematic drawings to guide scaffolding setup and modifications
- Prepare Safe Work Procedures (SWP) and Method of Statement (MOS) documents to support safe operations
- Develop quotations and communicate effectively with clients and workers to ensure clarity and alignment
- Adapt to work day or night shifts and various site assignments as required
Required competencies and certifications
- Certification in Scaffolding SPECIFIC CERTIFICATION, SCAFFOLDING SUPERVISOR is required
Preferred competencies and qualifications
- Proven experience as a Scaffolding Supervisor or similar role in construction
- Strong understanding of health and safety regulations related to scaffolding
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and schematic drawings
- High school diploma or equivalent further education or certification in construction safety is a plus
- Knowledge of drawing and design principles
- Good knowledge of sales and marketing
