SAP ABAP Consultant

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SAP ABAP programs and custom ERP solutions
• Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical designs and efficient ABAP code
• Conduct code reviews, debugging, and performance optimization to ensure high-quality deliverables
• Lead SAP implementation and upgrade projects, providing technical direction and best practices
• Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and stakeholders to deliver effective solutions
• Develop and enhance SAP modules such as MM, SD, FI, HR, and related components
• Mentor junior developers and promote best practices within the team
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues to minimize system downtime
• Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including specifications and design artifacts
• Stay current with SAP technologies such as Fiori, UI5, and OData, and recommend improvements
• Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and knowledge-sharing practices

Required Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on experience in SAP ABAP development
• Strong expertise in ABAP, including object-oriented programming
• In-depth knowledge of SAP ERP and core modules (MM, SD, FI, HR, etc.)
• Solid experience with SQL, database concepts, and performance tuning
• Proven experience leading SAP implementation or upgrade projects
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with SAP Fiori, UI5, and OData services
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Experience mentoring or leading development teams
