The Group HR Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the full spectrum of human resource functions across Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, and India. This role ensures alignment of HR strategies, compliance with local labour laws, and effective delivery of HR operations across all entities. The position requires strong regional HR experience, leadership capability, and proficiency in HR systems and Microsoft Excel.
Duties to Be Performed:
Regional HR Management
- Oversee HR operations across Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, and India
- Ensure consistency of HR policies, procedures, and best practices across all locations
- Act as the key HR advisor to management and country teams
- Monitor HR metrics, manpower planning, and organizational needs
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition
- Manage end-to-end recruitment processes across all countries
- Develop regional talent acquisition strategies and pipelines
- Coordinate with country HR managers on hiring needs and workforce planning
Employee Relations & Communication
- Manage employee relations matters across regions with fairness and consistency
- Address employee queries and resolve grievances
- Facilitate effective communication between management and employees
- Promote positive employee engagement
HR Administration & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with local labour laws and employment regulations in each country
- Maintain and standardize HR documentation, policies, and employee records
- Stay updated on labour law changes and implement necessary updates
Work Pass & Mobility Management
- Oversee application and renewal of work passes, and equivalent permits in other countries
- Ensure compliance with immigration regulations for foreign employees
- Support cross-border employee mobility where required
Compensation, Benefits & Insurance
- Manage employee compensation and benefits structures across countries
- Coordinate and manage annual insurance renewal (medical, group insurance, etc.)
- Liaise with insurance providers on claims, coverage, and policy updates
HR Systems & Reporting
- Administer and optimize HR software systems across all entities
- Ensure accurate HR data management and reporting
- Utilize Microsoft Excel for HR analysis and reporting
Training & Development
- Coordinate regional training and development programs
- Support leadership development and succession planning
- Identify training needs and implement appropriate initiatives
Payroll, Claims & HR Operations
- Review and monitor employee monthly claims
- Ensure consistency and accuracy of HR operations across all countries
Year-End HR Administration
- Oversee preparation of employee personal income tax (IR8A, IR21, and local equivalents)
- Monitor and reconcile annual leave balances
- Prepare and review year-end HR reports and project costing
Onboarding & Offboarding
- Ensure smooth onboarding processes across all locations
- Oversee employee exit processes including resignation and termination
- Ensure proper handover, asset return, and system updates
- Manage tax clearance for foreign employees where applicable
Audit & Compliance Support
- Assist and oversee ISO annual audits and HR compliance requirements
Other Duties
- Perform ad-hoc duties and special HR projects as assigned by management
Job / Skills Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field
- Proven experience in regional or group HR management
- Strong knowledge of labour laws in Singapore, Philippines, Malaysia, and India
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and HR systems
- Experience in employee relations and conflict resolution
- High attention to detail and accuracy
