Company Overview

We are an established freight forwarding company with over 40 years of experience providing marine cargo transportation between Singapore and Batam Island, Indonesia, along with value-added international shipping services.

Job Summary

Support the Sales & Marketing Manager by managing customer enquiries, preparing quotations, coordinating logistics operations, and establishing new business opportunities in marine freight forwarding & other marine industry related products.

Responsibilities

• Respond promptly to sales enquiries to support customer engagement and business growth
• Liaise with customers to understand and fulfill their shipping and logistics requirements effectively
• Prepare accurate and competitive quotations to facilitate sales conversions
• Source and negotiate freight and equipment rates to optimize cost efficiency
• Identify and develop new business opportunities to expand the client base
• Coordinate with the Operations Department to ensure smooth execution of shipping jobs
• Follow up with the Finance Department to ensure timely billing and payment processing
• Monitor and collate customer feedback to improve service quality
• Provide administrative support to the Sales & Marketing Department to enhance operational efficiency

Preferred competencies and qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office software to support documentation and communication
• Strong written and spoken English skills for effective communication and report writing
• Strong communication and negotiation skills to manage customer relationships and secure favorable terms
• Attention to detail and accuracy in work to maintain high-quality outputs
• Technical or chemical knowledge related to the marine sector is an added advantage
