Job Description

The NTU Office of Commercial and Auxiliary Services (OCAS) is responsible for the strategic planning, management, and marketing of commercial real estate, hospitality (including Nanyang Executive Centre) and auxiliary services (car parks and shuttle bus services) in NTU main campus and NTU@one-north.

The Nanyang Executive Centre (NEC) is located at the NTU Main Campus. NEC features 150 refurbished guestrooms and refreshed event spaces that aims to offer a premier venue for high-level conferences, workshops, executive programmes, and industry engagements.

We are seeking a results-driven Sales Manager to drive room sales and event bookings, develop new business opportunities, and build strong client relationships to maximise NEC's revenue and occupancy.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Establish and execute sales plan aligned with NEC's revenue targets and objectives.

  • Prioritise NTU's educational and institutional needs. Identify and pursue affiliated business opportunities, such as training programmes and events, to optimize NEC's revenue.

  • Develop strategies to drive room sales and maximise facility utilisation.

  • Build and maintain strong relationships with internal NTU stakeholders and external clients to develop business leads.

  • Establish and build rapport with all business partners.

  • Handle contract negotiations and client inquiries professionally.

  • Achieve monthly and annual targets for room revenue, occupancy, and average rates.

Sales Administration

  • Maintain accurate records and prepare monthly sales reports.

  • Analyse sales performance and provide recommendations to improve results.

  • Contribute insights to annual business planning and pricing strategies.

  • Conduct market analysis and stay up to date on the industry trends and competitor activities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Sales & Marketing, Hotel Management or relevant discipline. Diploma holders with extensive experience may be considered.

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Sales, preferably in hospitality industry.

  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets.

  • Capable of dealing skilfully with new environment, new or difficult situations and overcoming challenges creatively.

  • Adaptability and agility.

  • Strong relationship-building/ management and negotiation skills.

  • Team player.

  • Excellent communication skills.
