Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Marine Sales Manager to join our team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for driving sales of marine engines and related solutions across the Southeast Asia region. This role will focus on developing and executing sales strategies for engines and propulsion packages, building strong customer relationships, and achieving sustainable business growth. The position requires deep knowledge of marine engines and applications, strong commercial acumen, and a proactive approach to customer engagement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve company targets specifically for marine engines, propulsion packages, engine spare parts, and related services.
  • Identify, qualify, and pursue new business opportunities with shipyards, shipowners, fleet operators, and marine contractors across Southeast Asia.
  • Manage and grow relationships with OEM partners, distributors, and service providers to expand market presence.
  • Lead end-to-end sales cycles, including technical discussions, engine selection proposals, contract negotiations, and deal closure, in coordination with internal technical and commercial teams.
  • Provide accurate sales forecasts, pipeline reports, and competitive intelligence to management.
  • Conduct regular market analysis on engine demand, emission regulations, and repowering trends to guide business strategy.
  • Attend industry exhibitions, technical seminars, and customer engagements to promote the company's marine engine portfolio.
  • Collaborate closely with after-sales and technical service teams to ensure successful project delivery, commissioning, and long-term customer satisfaction.
  • Ensure strict compliance with company standards, local regulations, and HSE requirements.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum 5 years of sales or business development experience in marine engines, propulsion systems, or related marine equipment.
  • Strong technical understanding of marine engine systems (diesel, dual-fuel, alternative fuels) and applications in commercial shipping, offshore, or defense.
  • Proven track record of meeting or exceeding engine sales targets.
  • Excellent negotiation, commercial, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset: self-motivated, target-driven, and able to work independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the Southeast Asia region.
  • Proficiency in English; additional regional languages (e.g., Mandarin, Bahasa) are an advantage.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Existing network of contacts in shipbuilding, ship repair, engine supply, or fleet management.
  • Experience collaborating with global engine brands or OEMs.
  • Familiarity with marine engine emission standards (IMO Tier III, EEXI, CII), class approvals, and certification processes.
  • Strong knowledge of repowering projects, engine retrofits, or alternative fuel conversions.
