Job Summary
We are seeking an ambitious and target-driven Sales Manager to be the driving force behind the exhibition and sponsorship revenue for the Smart Home Tech Show. The primary focus of this role is to secure participation from companies within the smart home, consumer technology, and related home improvement sectors by selling exhibition space (Book a Stand) and premium sponsorship packages. The successful candidate will be a skilled hunter, capable of managing a full sales cycle and cultivating long-term client relationships.
Key Responsibilities
I. Revenue Generation & Sales Execution
Achieve and exceed ambitious individual and team sales targets for both exhibition stand space and sponsorship packages.
Develop a robust sales pipeline through proactive prospecting, cold-calling, market research, and lead generation, focusing on both local and international companies in the smart home ecosystem.
Manage the entire sales cycle, from initial contact and pitch presentation to contract negotiation and final closing.
Prepare compelling, customized proposals for exhibitors, detailing stand options, value propositions, and available add-ons.
II. Account Management & Retention
Cultivate and maintain strong, positive relationships with existing and past exhibitors to ensure high rates of client retention and secure multi-year commitments.
Identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling premium locations, bespoke sponsorship activations, and integrated digital marketing packages.
Act as the primary point of contact for key accounts, coordinating their needs with the Operations and Marketing teams.
III. Market Insight & Strategy
Stay informed on industry trends, competitive events, and key company developments within the smart home and consumer electronics markets to refine the sales strategy.
Accurately forecast sales revenue and provide regular reports and pipeline updates to senior management.
Represent the Smart Home Tech Show brand professionally at industry networking events, trade shows, and client meetings.
Demonstrated ability to meet and consistently exceed substantial sales quotas and revenue targets.
Exceptional negotiation, presentation, and closing skills, with a persuasive and confident communication style.
Strong understanding of the sales process, from cold-calling to contract finalization.
A high degree of self-motivation, organization, and the ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Microsoft Office Suite (PowerPoint/Excel)
