Job Title: Sales Manager (BYD)
Job Description:
As a Sales Manager in the automotive industry based in Singapore, you will be responsible for leading our sales efforts in the Singapore market. Your primary focus will be on driving revenue growth, expanding our customer base, and maintaining strong relationships with existing clients. You will play a critical role in developing and executing sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets while providing exceptional customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve company objectives in the Singapore automotive market.
- Lead, coach, and motivate the sales team to maximise their performance and achieve sales targets.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, including partnerships, alliances, and distributorships.
- Cultivate and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Analyse market trends, competitor activities, and customer feedback to refine sales strategies and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to develop effective sales campaigns, promotions, and product launches tailored to the Singapore market.
- Prepare and present sales forecasts, budgets, and reports to senior management.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Stay updated on industry developments, technological advancements, and market trends relevant to the automotive sector in Singapore.
- Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows.
- Conduct regular training sessions, develop training plans for all sales staff, and provide training, evaluation, and coaching maintain and archive all sales department training records.
- Participate in the selection, coaching, and training of sales staff to ensure new employees can begin work as quickly as possible.
- Develop and maintain training materials, ensuring all content is updated to the latest version.
- Ensure sales staff receive training on the manufacturer's Standardized Process for Customer Reception (SPC) and customer experience, and supervise the proper execution of these processes.
- Attend new training courses and trainer development programs organized by the Training Academy and report progress to the Sales Manager.
- Collaborate with other departments (Marketing, Customer Service, Aftersales/Service) to support initiatives that enhance customer satisfaction and loyalty.
- Build strong external partnerships to achieve the training and certification objectives set by the manufacturer and the company group.
- Attend and complete relevant training tasks as required by the company and the manufacturer perform other duties assigned by management.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Engineering, or related field.
- Proven track record of success in automotive sales, with at least 5 years of experience in a managerial role.
- Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Deep understanding of the automotive industry, market dynamics, and customer preferences in Singapore.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful sales strategies, with a focus on driving revenue growth and expanding market share.
- Experience in managing distributor networks and channel partners is preferred.
- Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office Suite, and other sales management tools.
- Willingness to travel within Singapore and occasionally overseas as required.
- Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
