Job Overview

Volex is seeking an experienced and motivated Sales professional to join its team in Singapore, responsible for driving sales of High-Speed DAC cables. The incumbent will lead local customer engagement efforts, focusing on strengthening relationships with existing customers while identifying and developing new business opportunities across the region. They will also support distributor sales currently managed by the Inside Sales Representative (ISR) and contribute to expanding Volex's market presence.

Responsibilities

  • Explore and develop new customers and industry segments, in Automotive, Industrial, Data Centre, EV and medical
  • Forecasting annual, quarterly and monthly sales plan
  • Communicating effectively with customer's engineering and purchasing team to understand customers needs and requirements
  • Constant contact and follow up with customers on their new product development to ensure early spec in of our company products.
  • Strong business partnering skills – working with the factory, RFQ team and sales-counterparts in other regions.
  • Negotiating Pricing with customers
  • Translating customers requirements to internal department to meet customer expectations.
  • Coaching & Mentoring the ISR team and managing the regional ISR member and supporting
  • Good technical understanding in cables, wire harness and EMS industry.
  • Initiate cross-selling opportunities within the Group companies.
  • Identify market trends and opportunities for product line development
  • Customers account maintenance for assign account

Requirements

  • Electrical and electronics background, preferably a Bachelor's degree
  • Prior experience in OEM field sales experience selling complex technical solutions in the Consumer electronics, Automotive and Interconnect Industry preferred
  • Strong industry network at OEMs in market segments mainly in Data Centre, Automotive, Industrial, Medical
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office such as Powerpoint, Excel, as well as sales tools (eg. Salesforce)
  • Ability to travel when necessary.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in both English and Korean are required to effectively communicate with local and global clients.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently.
