Job Description

An outdoor sales executive (or outside sales representative) is responsible for generating leads, building relationships, and closing sales by meeting clients face-to-face at their locations, rather than from a company office.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead Generation:Identifying and qualifying new business opportunities and potential sales leads.
  • Client Meetings:Meeting with potential and existing customers in person to showcase products and services.
  • Sales Presentations:Presenting sales proposals and demonstrating products or services effectively.
  • Negotiation & Closing:Negotiating contracts and closing deals to meet sales targets.
  • Relationship Management:Building and maintaining strong relationships with new and existing customers.
  • Market Intelligence:Gathering information about competitors and market trends to inform sales strategy.
  • Territory Management:Planning and managing a sales territory effectively to maximize opportunities.

Required Skills

  • Communication & Presentation: Strong verbal and written communication skills for presenting to clients.
  • Negotiation Skills: Persuasive negotiation abilities to secure favorable terms.
  • Relationship Building: Ability to establish and nurture long-term client relationships.
  • Independent Work & Travel: Capacity to work autonomously and travel to meet clients in person.
  • Problem-Solving: Resolving customer complaints and challenges to ensure satisfaction.
  • Sales & Product Knowledge: Understanding of company products and the ability to educate customers on their benefits.
  • CRM & Data Analysis: Proficiency in using CRM tools and analyzing sales data to track progress.
