Job Purpose
The primary objective of this role is to drive and achieve sales targets in alignment with the company's business strategy for the Singapore market. The Sales Executive will work closely with the distributor and key retailers to support domestic sales, including product acquisition, quality checks, and monitoring of in-store promotional activities. Building and maintaining strong relationships with key retail partners and customers is essential.
In addition, the role involves managing product placement programs across assigned accounts and categories. The candidate will be responsible for pursuing sales leads, promoting product offerings, closing sales orders, and coordinating internal logistics to ensure timely delivery.
This position may require working on weekends during promotional campaigns or special retail activations.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
This role is responsible to:
- Manage the pipeline of opportunities from current and prospective customers / account to ensure that sales goals can be met for local sales.
- To execute based on the planning for local operation sales & marketing activities.
- Provide assistance coordinating all aspects of such shipment, operation, fulfilment report.
- Build a good working relationship with the distributor/ key store, to ensure leverage product strength to increase portfolio and market share.
- Key account management for key stores (Fair Price, DFI group, Donki and Sheng Siong).
- Assist sales manager to close the sales per product category and account to meet sales goals.
- Manage account service level and improve the timeline and speed to market.
- Complete all sales documentation promptly, thoroughly, and accurately.
- Maintain all sales resources, Market intelligence and databases such that they are kept up to date and accurate.
- Handle customer inquiries and after sales service and work closely with local distributor to solve any issues.
- Feedback Production & Quality Assurance departments of quality issues received.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Required Skills/Qualifications
- Minimum of a diploma in relevant field.
- At least 3 years of relevant sales experience in the FMCG industry, preferably with a focus on fresh fruits.
- Experience working with key retailers and fruit importers is an added advantage.
- Proven ability to gather market intelligence and monitor competitor activity.
- Person must be knowledgeable in trading and modern retail channels.
- Must demonstrate genuine passion and confidence in the products being sold.
- Excellent communication, analytical, and organizational skills.
- Detail-oriented, proactive, and able to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Self-motivated, assertive, and results-driven.
- High level of integrity and professionalism.
- Proficiency in English is essential.
