Job Description

The Sales Engineer will play a pivotal role in driving sales growth, supporting clients with technical expertise, and ensuring seamless project execution for marine turbocharger maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) services.

Responsibilities:

Technical Sales Support

  • Deliver pre- and post-sales technical assistance for marine turbocharger systems.

  • Prepare tailored technical proposals and cost estimates.

  • Collaborate with engineering teams to develop practical, cost-effective solutions.

Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships within the marine and shipping sectors.

  • Conduct meetings and site visits to understand client needs and identify opportunities.

  • Serve as the main contact for technical and commercial inquiries.

Sales & Business Development

  • Identify and secure new business to meet sales targets.

  • Support tender submissions, contract negotiations, and deal closures.

  • Keep CRM systems updated with accurate sales data and forecasts.

Market Insight & Service Improvement

  • Monitor industry trends and competitor activity to inform strategy.

  • Gather client feedback to recommend service enhancements or new offerings.

Project Coordination & Support

  • Facilitate smooth project handovers to operations teams.

  • Ensure service execution meets client expectations.

  • Participate in post-project evaluations for continuous improvement.

Requirements:

. Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical / Marine Engineering (or related field).

. Minimum 3-5 years of experience in sales or technical support, preferably in marine turbocharger MRO or related marine engineering services.

. Strong technical knowledge of marine propulsion systems, especially turbochargers from major OEMs (ABB, MAN, MET, etc.).

. Proven track record in achieving sales targets and building long-term client relationships.

. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

. Proficiency in MS Office and CRM tools.

. Willingness to travel locally and internationally as required.

. No prior sales experience required.
