Job Summary
The Sales Engineer will be responsible for providing technical consultation and solution-based sales support to customers across the manufacturing sector. The role involves understanding customer applications, recommending suitable solutions, and building long-term business relationships through on-site and office-based engagement.
The position offers structured training to develop technical expertise and consultative sales capability in a fast-paced industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Participate in structured product and application training (3-6 months, paid training provided)
- Develop strong technical knowledge of products and their industrial applications
- Provide consultation to customers to identify suitable solutions based on their operational needs
- Conduct on-site visits to customer facilities (approximately 3 days per week)
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing customers
- Identify and develop new business opportunities within assigned territory
- Support territory planning and sales strategy execution
- Coordinate product demonstrations, seminars, and industry events when required
- Achieve sales and growth targets within assigned accounts
- Maintain high standards of professionalism, compliance, and customer service
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering, Business, or related discipline preferred
- Strong interest in technical products and industrial applications
- Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Self-motivated, results-driven, and able to work independently
- Willingness to travel frequently (including potential overnight trips)
- Comfortable working in manufacturing environments
- Class 3 driving license preferred
