About the Role

The Sales Director, Singapore will be responsible for driving sales performance in alignment with the business strategy and financial objectives. This role provides overarching direction, coordination, and functional leadership for all sales efforts tied to the Singapore business, ensuring strong growth in digital solutions and revenue generation.

The Director will shape and execute the commercial strategy for both existing and prospective customer segments in Singapore. This includes leading sales development initiatives to grow revenue, maintain profitability, uphold operational excellence through rigorous data management, and strengthen pipeline creation and conversion across new and established markets.

A key aspect of the role involves building and sustaining a high-performing, engaged sales organization while proactively managing attrition and its impact on business outcomes. The Director will represent the LexisNexis brand with customers, championing long-term growth in Singapore. Additionally, this position will guide the evolution of the sales processfrom print to online, and further into digital-first offerings.

Responsibilities

  • Drive revenue expansion, increase market share, and create demand for innovative, technology-driven solutions that accelerate growth into new market areas.
  • Develop a holistic sales strategy that protects, strengthens, and grows long-term digital subscription revenue while accelerating growth from specialist products and solutions.
  • Demonstrate strong commercial acumen to expand market share, grow revenue, and increase gross margins.
  • Establish a solid operating plan that ensures consistent achievement of budgets and forecasts. Assume full accountability for delivering team sales targets and performance metrics.
  • Implement the plan by cultivating a high-performing sales team supported by effective succession planning, onboarding, performance management, and attrition mitigation programs.
  • Serve as a key ambassador for LexisNexis policies and operational standards with internal teams and customers, ensuring compliance with global and local requirements, adherence to sales and customer metric expectations, and strong cross-functional collaboration to achieve business results.
  • Lead Sales Operations and Sales Excellence initiatives, including oversight of sales incentive structures and the creation of performance metrics covering new sales, renewals, upsells, and churn reduction.
  • Strengthen sales performance management, training, and organizational frameworks as needed to support revenue growth.
  • Develop go-to-market strategies and product-level launch plans in partnership with internal stakeholders, ensuring smooth execution across sales, product, marketing, and customer-facing teams.
  • Establish clear metrics to track launch success and provide regular reporting to relevant stakeholders.
  • Offer insights on technology trends, emerging products, market developments, and competitive activity to help shape business direction.

Requirements

  • 810 years of proven B2B sales experience, including at least 3 years in a leadership or people management role
  • Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and develop sales teams that consistently exceed targets, with experience in both new business development and account management
  • Strong capability to engage and influence C-suite decision-makers in complex sales processes
  • Deep passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences and long-term client value
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
