Overview

CIS is seeking an experienced and highly driven Sales Director to lead the sales and business growth across Enterprise and Data Center clients. A self-motivated person who welcomes the challenge of growing & accelerating a business and has a firm grasp on being able to multitask through the growth cycle. Effective communication, planning, and leadership qualities are a must.

The role will include the strategic planning and building of the pre-sales, sales, and post-sales teams and will be instrumental in scaling these capabilities as the business grows. Vendor management and regional alignment of partners will form a key part of the overall role, also.

This position will report directly to the Managing Director and will work closely with the Operations Director, procurement, and delivery teams to ensure seamless transition from solution design to project execution. However, the successful candidate will be a senior member of the CIS team at the board level, and thus a level of proven capability and experience will be a must.

Responsibilities

. Lead the end-to-end business development and sales cycle across our Data Center and Enterprise clients.

. Manage and mentor a sales team, ensuring consistent performance, accountability, and professional development.

. Establish and enforce project governance, processes, and best practices across all stages of the process.

. Oversee sales planning, scheduling, resource allocation, and risk management to ensure timely and successful delivery of tenders and responses to our clients.

. Drive cost control, budgeting, and financial performance across all projects, working alongside the Operations Director.

. Manage vendor relationships, procurement strategies, and subcontractor relationships.

. Collaborate closely with Operations and delivery teams to review project scope, validate technical solutions, and ensure smooth project handovers.

. Act as the senior escalation point for sales and client-related issues, ensuring rapid resolution and client satisfaction.

. Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and client-specific requirements, particularly within Data Center environments

. Develop sales strategies to scale delivery capabilities in line with business growth and market demand

. Maintain strong relationships with key clients, supporting long-term partnerships and repeat business opportunities.

. Construct and monitor reliable control systems.

Qualifications

. 10-12 years of relevant experience in project delivery and operations, with a strong focus on delivering on-time, on-budget projects within the ICT Infrastructure space.

. Proven track record in delivering large-scale projects for Data center clients and/or major Enterprise clients.

. Strong technical expertise in datacenter infrastructure, including structured cabling, networking, and critical systems.

. Demonstrated experience in managing multiple project teams and complex, multi-site deployments.

. Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects and teams across differing Geographies.

. Solid understanding of project management methodologies, cost control, and contract management

. Experience in vendor management, procurement, and subcontractor coordination.

. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

. Ability to operate in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment with a hands-on approach

. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management tools.
