Manage commodities in technology competence areas (e.g., Mechatronics, Electronics, Vision) on a global basis.
Develop and monitor supplier performance using Quality, Logistics, Technology, Costs (QLTC) methodology.
Define Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) per module, create comprehensive business cases, align with stakeholders, and propose scenarios for senior management decisions.
Initiate and coordinate sourcing projects, collaborating with R&D, Operations, Product, and regional teams (Europe, Malaysia, Singapore, China).
Contribute to the preparation and definition of the company's sourcing strategy, provide analysis and statistics, and monitor execution using defined KPIs.
Coordinate supplier selection, onboarding, and qualification according to company processes (focus on Asia content).
Establish a cost- and quality-competitive global supply chain integrated with operational and development processes.
Negotiate contracts and pricing with product and non-product suppliers following QLTC methodology and open costing.
Work with suppliers on corrective actions to resolve escalated issues or identify alternative suppliers when necessary.
Coordinate with local and global Material Management, Logistics, and Incoming Quality Control (IQC) departments.
Ensure all purchasing parameters (vendor data, contracts) are up-to-date and properly stored.
Drive proactive quality improvements along the supply chain in close cooperation with Product, R&D, and Material Management teams.
Maintain up-to-date supply market information, focusing on commodity modules.
