Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and proactive Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) Coordinator to support the implementation and maintenance of Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) standards across our construction projects.
The successful candidate will work closely with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Supervisors, subcontractors, and the Main Contractor's project team to ensure all site activities comply with statutory requirements, project safety standards, and company policies. to ensure compliance with all statutory requirements, company safety policies, and project-specific safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and implement Workplace Safety & Health (WSH) requirements for specialist GRC façade installation works.
- Work closely with the client or main contractor's WSH team to ensure compliance with site safety rules, permit-to-work systems, and project-specific safety requirements.
- Coordinate and supervise safety performance of installation subcontractors and workers
- Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts and unsafe conditions, ensuring prompt corrective actions are implemented.
- Conduct toolbox meetings, safety briefings, and safety inductions for company staff and subcontractors.
- Prepare and maintain Risk Assessments (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Method Statements, and Permit-to-Work documentation.
- Monitor lifting operations, mobile crane activities, work at height, MEWP operations, and façade installation activities.
- Ensure all workers comply with PPE requirements, housekeeping standards, and company safety procedures.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and assist in implementing corrective and preventive actions.
- Liaise with main contractors, consultants, clients, and regulatory authorities on all WSH matters.
- Maintain safety records, inspection reports, training records, and statutory documentation.
- Support internal safety audits, client audits, and MOM inspections.
- Promote a positive safety culture and continuously improve safety performance across all projects.
Requirements
- Diploma, Higher NITEC, or equivalent qualification in Workplace Safety & Health, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline.
- Possess a valid Building Construction Safety Supervisor (BCSS) certificate.
- Minimum 2 years of relevant construction site experience.
- Good knowledge of the Workplace Safety & Health Act, WSH Regulations, Code of Practice, and Singapore construction safety requirements.
- Experience in Permit-to-Work (PTW), Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), lifting operations, work at height, and temporary works.
- Good communication, interpersonal, and coordination skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Self-motivated, responsible, and able to work independently in a fast-paced construction environment.
