SAFETY COORDINATOR

Job Description

• Assist in implementing and monitoring the company's Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) management system.
• Conduct daily site safety inspections and identify unsafe acts or conditions.
• Ensure compliance with WSH regulations, company safety procedures, and client safety requirements.
• Perform daily inspection to ensure compliance to prevailing MOM regulations.
• Conduct safety inductions, toolbox meetings, and safety briefings for employees and subcontractors.
• Investigate incidents, accidents, and near misses, and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Monitor the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and ensure safe work practices are followed.
• Maintain safety records, inspection reports, permits, and statutory documentation.
• Coordinate safety audits and support corrective actions to improve safety performance.
• Liaise with project teams, clients, and regulatory authorities on safety-related matters

Requirements

• Certificate in Advanced Certificate in WSH Level B and/or any relevant Safety Certificates.
• With at least 3 years of working experience in high-rise building
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
• Good knowledge of the Workplace Safety and Health Act and its subsidiary regulations
• Familiar with MOM Workplace Safety and Health regulations and industry best practices.
• Knowledge of Risk Assessment (RA), Safe Work Procedures (SWP), Permit-to-Work (PTW), and incident reporting.
• 6 days work week.
• Responsible, proactive, and able to work independently as well as in a team.
