Job Description:
We are seeking a responsible and detail-oriented Safety Coordinator cum Permit Applicant to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring workplace safety compliance and managing all necessary permit applications for ongoing projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and implement workplace safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments
- Ensure compliance with local safety regulations and company standards
- Prepare, submit, and follow up on permit applications with relevant authorities
- Maintain proper documentation of safety records and permits
- Liaise with site supervisors, contractors, and regulatory bodies
- Conduct safety briefings and training sessions for workers
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective actions
- Requirements:
- Relevant certification in Workplace Safety and Health (WSH) or equivalent
- Prior experience in safety coordination and permit application processes preferred
- Good knowledge of local safety regulations and permit systems
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
- Familiarity with PTW (Permit-to-Work) systems
