Maintenance Technician
Job Overview
Responsible for carrying out both preventive and corrective maintenance for facilities and equipment, including upgrading, retrofitting, troubleshooting, and repair of Mechanical, electrical, and air-conditioning systems.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
- Perform daily inspections of building and M&E (Mechanical & Electrical) systems.
- Ensure all contractors follow safety regulations and comply with maintenance requirements.
- Handle daily M&E operations such as ACMV, generators, UPS, LT switchgear, alarm systems, access control systems, fire protection systems, water supply and drainage, PA systems, and electrical installations.
- Attend to interior-related technical issues including furniture, carpets, walls, ceilings, and doors/glass.
- Carry out routine system checks, equipment inspections, and meter readings.
- Support and supervise vendors and contractors for both preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Assist in project-related works including internal moves, additions, and alterations.
- Participate in annual shutdown activities such as fire certification renewal.
- Respond to system alarms and manage emergency situations.
- Provide technical support to IT-related tasks when required.
- Prepare daily and incident reports, analyze root causes, and update work order records.
- Carry out any additional duties assigned by the Head of Operations.
Job Requirements
Education
- ITE in Electrical / Mechanical / Air-Conditioning / Building Services / Engineering
- Minimum CoreTrade certification in Facilities Management (including Electrical) for Work Permit holders
Skills & Requirements
- Strong hands-on experience in electrical installation, troubleshooting, and general M&E works (mandatory)
- Certified for Work-at-Height
- Willing to work overtime when required
- Able to communicate effectively in English
- Basic knowledge of CMMS (training will be provided)
- Positive attitude, good teamwork, and hands-on approach
- Minimum two references from previous employers
Experience
- At least 5 years of experience in M&E building maintenance (required)
