DORS (Design Orchard Retail Showcase), is Singapore pre-eminent multi-label store that supports top local designers in the lifestyle and fashion industries. The location serves as a creative incubator, vibrant events space, and a platform in the heart of Orchard Road for Singapore's homegrown brands to showcase their creativity to the world. DORS houses over 100 brands in these categories, making it Singapore's largest physical one-stop shopping destination for local labels.

DORSe is the ai-powered digital channel that will fuel the growth of DORS through the merging of both digital and physical channels.

DORS is run by Singapore Fashion Council (SFC), the official association for the fashion industry in Singapore. Our mission at SFC is quite simple: To create A Vibrant Asian Hub For Responsible* Fashion.

The Retail Supervisor is a key member of Singapore Fashion Council's Design Orchard Retail Showcase (DORS) and the face to our customers. Knowledgeable, friendly, enthusiastic, you will provide a unique experience that embodies our Brand DNA.

As this role is in a service environment, you should be someone who has strong communication and interpersonal skills with a great and welcoming personality, able to inspire, lead and develop the team to deliver a seamless customer experience to make every visit to DORS unforgettable.

Job Description:

  • Manage the day-to-day operations of the store along with other Supervisor and Asst. Store Managers
  • Supervise and/or perform cashiering duties (such as handling the point-of-sale and NETS systems)
  • Assist in managing inventory and housekeeping of store levels and assist the store manager in making decisions with regards to stock control
  • Ensure high levels of customer's satisfaction through excellent service
  • Ensure safety, security, and administration procedures are followed
  • Maintain awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives
  • Motivate & mentor retail staff and provide feedback to store manager
  • Train, mentor, coach and develop new full-time retail employees, including brand and product familiarization, in addition to the operational systems
  • Assist with any other duties and tasks as assigned by our Store Manager

Pre-requisites:

  • Have experience in a supervisory capacity at a retail store, or similar
  • Self-motivated and a good communicator with leadership experience
  • Possess exceptional interpersonal skills in dealing with employees and customers
  • Have a positive, cheerful demeanor, and be a team player
  • Passionate about, and supportive of, local fashion brands, products, and stories
  • Enthusiastic about speaking, storytelling, and recommending said products
  • Good product knowledge of the products in the store and be clear with the on-going promotions in the store
  • Want to be part of a retail family that sets common goals and works together to create a positive, supportive work and retail environment
