Role Description:
- Manage the day-to-day business operations of the retail store
- Perform roster planning and other administrative duties
- Perform daily line-check to ensure consistency of our corporate branding and store image
- Supervise and conduct On-The-Job Training for new staff
- Performance Management
- Handle and resolve staff issues / grievances
- Perform cashiering function / Counter closing / Banking in of sales proceeds
- Cultivate good service mindset
- Responsible for visual merchandising and inventory management
- Manage customers expectation to ensure customers satisfaction
- Customer relations and service recovery
- Monthly / Weekly sales reporting
- Promote and market the company's membership sign-ups & renewals
- Ensure all small animals in the store are well taken care of
- Manages ad-hoc / periodic stock-take and/or stock-count exercise when required
- Accountable for cash shortage, stock losses and stock variances
- Ensure that stocks are replenished leaving no shelves empty
- Ensure proper housekeeping is done to create a pleasant shopping experience / store ambience
- Achieve sales target / KPIs in line with business objectives
- Ensure store readiness in preparation for store audit and mystery shopper audit.
Role Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of retail store supervisory experience.
- Able to lead retail assistants to maintain the sales and service operations for the assigned store.
- Customer service-oriented and result-oriented to drive sales targets.
- Must be able to perform rotating shift work.
- Must be able to work on weekends and public holidays.
- Organised, meticulous and detail-oriented.
- Basic Excel/Google Sheets, Doc and Slides.
- Able to work 5 days work week (including weekends and public holidays)
- Working Hours: 10am - 10pm (Pet Safari outlets: NEX, Vivo City, The Star Vista and Waterway Point Mall), OR 11am - 9:30pm (Pet Lovers Centre outlets)
- Must be willing to have direct contact with animals and work in pet retail environment (animals, animals fur & dust)
- Must be able to carry at least 22kg and can climb the ladder.
- Able to handle food packaging products that contain Pork, Beef, Seafood, Lamb & Poultry, etc.
