A Retail Area Manager in a mini mart is responsible for overseeing the operations of multiple store locations, ensuring they meet sales targets, maintain operational excellence, and provide excellent customer service. This involves managing store managers, implementing strategies, monitoring performance, and fostering a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Leadership and Management:Provide direction and support to store managers, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
  • Sales and Operations:Develop and implement strategies to achieve sales targets, manage inventory, and ensure efficient store operations.
  • Customer Service:Ensure high standards of customer service are maintained across all stores, handling customer complaints and feedback effectively.
  • Performance Management:Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs), analyze sales data, and provide feedback to store managers to improve performance.
  • Staff Management:Oversee recruitment, training, and performance management of store staff.
  • Compliance and Standards:Ensure stores adhere to company policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Communication:Effectively communicate with senior management, providing updates on area performance and addressing any challenges.
  • Budget Management:Allocate and monitor budget expenditure within the assigned area.
  • Business Development:Identify opportunities for growth and implement initiatives to drive sales and profitability.
  • Store Visits:Regularly visit stores to assess operations, provide guidance, and ensure consistency across locations.
  • Inventory Management:Oversee inventory levels, coordinate with suppliers, and minimize losses.
  • Promotional Activities:Implement marketing and promotional campaigns to drive foot traffic and sales.

  • Experience in retail management and operations.

Requirements:

  • Proven work experiences
    Good time management, prioritization, and multitasking abilities
  • At least 4 years of experience in business development and operations marketing, or equivalent qualification
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Negotiation and Conflict management
  • Relevant work experience is preferred
  • Able/ willing to work on Weekends/ Public holidays is an advantage.
