Job Description

The Retail Account Manager is an individual contributor role responsible for driving sales performance, customer acquisition, retention, and overall client satisfaction across one of our telco retail channel accounts. This role serves as a key bridge between Asurion and our telco partner's retail teams, ensuring strong execution, alignment, and continued growth of our device protection products in the market.

You will work closely with retail sales staff, channel partners, and key stakeholders within the telco organization to deliver sales results, build strong relationships, and bring Asurion's value proposition to life on the ground.

This is a highly hands-on role that requires frequent store visits, strong relationship-building skills, and a proactive, roll-up-your-sleeves mindset.

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Channel Performance

  • Develop and execute sales plans to drive revenue, customer acquisition, and retention across retail channels
  • Ensure achievement of sales targets through strong execution and collaboration with retail teams
  • Identify opportunities to grow sales through product upsell, expanded channels, and improved in-store execution

Retail Engagement & Training

  • Partner closely with retail sales staff to provide ongoing training, coaching, and sales support
  • Design and implement sales incentives and engagement programs to drive performance
  • Act as a product evangelist, ensuring retail teams clearly understand and can effectively sell Asurion's offerings

Stakeholder Management

  • Build strong relationships with telco partner retail teams and leadership, acting as a key point of contact
  • Collaborate on campaigns, initiatives, and performance improvement plans
  • Support roadshows, events, and on-ground activations

Operations & Support

  • Manage day-to-day support requests and escalations from retail channels
  • Ensure smooth execution of programs and high levels of partner satisfaction
  • Provide basic product and technical support where needed

Insights & Reporting

  • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and retail performance
  • Deliver regular sales reports, analysis, and actionable insights
  • Present campaign results and recommend improvements to stakeholders

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business administration, or a related discipline
  • Minimum 3 years experience in Retail Sales/ Channel Account Management.
  • Fresh graduates with strong interpersonal communication skills are welcome to apply.
  • Preferably experienced in Mobile Device retail; relevant retail sales experience in consumer electronics, warranty/insurance products or FMCG will be considered.
  • Proven track record in building and executing sales programs and delivering sales results.
  • Hands-on experience in developing and delivering sales support initiatives across extensive retail networks.
  • Demonstrated expertise and flair in sales/ product training and presentation skills to small and large groups.
  • Outstanding communication and influencing skills across multiple levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, specifically Word, Excel, and PowerPoint for data analysis, reporting, and creation of presentation decks.
  • Strong execution mindset and ability to achieve challenging goals.
  • High integrity, self-motivation, enthusiasm, energy, and can-do attitude.
  • Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate independent initiative.
