As Restaurant Manager , you are responsible for the overall daily operations of the restaurant, In-Room Dining (IRD) services, and the quick service outlet, ensuring exceptional guest experiences, operational efficiency, and strong financial performance. This role leads the service team across multiple service platforms ,maintains brand standards, and works closely with the culinary team to deliver consistent quality while driving revenue and profitability.
Operations Management
- Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, In-Room Dining, and quick service counter to ensure smooth and efficient service
- Maintain high service standards across all service outlets
- Conduct daily operational briefings and ensure team readiness for all meal periods
- Monitor reservation flow, IRD order delivery times, and quick service efficiency
- Ensure compliance with hygiene, safety, and licensing regulations
- Manage opening and closing procedures across all outlets
- Ensure SOP compliance and operational consistency across different service styles
Guest Experience
- Actively engage with guests in the restaurant and support VIP in-room dining experiences
- Ensure IRD orders are delivered within brand service timelines and presentation standards
- Monitor guest satisfaction across dine-in, takeaway, and in-room dining channels
- Handle guest feedback and service recovery professionally and promptly
- Support reputation management including online reviews where applicable
Team Leadership & Development
- Lead, coach, and develop the restaurant, IRD, and quick service teams
- Manage staff scheduling based on business levels across multiple outlets
- Conduct performance coaching and support career development
- Ensure compliance with grooming and service standards
- Support recruitment, onboarding, and training of new team members
- Promote teamwork between restaurant, IRD, and kitchen operations
Financial Performance
- Monitor revenue performance across restaurant, IRD, and quick service operations
- Control labour costs through effective scheduling and productivity management
- Oversee inventory management and cost control practices
- Drive upselling initiatives including IRD promotions and add-on sales
- Ensure accurate billing, posting, and cash handling procedures
- Identify revenue opportunities across all service channels
Collaboration & Communication
- Work closely with the Executive Chef and culinary team to ensure operational alignment
- Coordinate with sales and events teams on restaurant buyouts and special functions
- Coordinate IRD menu offerings and promotions with marketing where applicable
- Participate in operational meetings and contribute to business planning
- Ensure effective communication between front and back of house teams
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain operational reports, shift logs, and departmental records
- Monitor stock levels of operating equipment and supplies
- Ensure IRD equipment, service ware, and takeaway packaging are properly maintained
- Support implementation of promotions and marketing initiatives
- Ensure proper maintenance and cleanliness standards across all managed areas
Preferred Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hospitality Management or related field
- Minimum 3-5 years of restaurant management experience, preferably with multi-outlet exposure
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills
- Strong operational and financial acumen
- Experience managing multiple service concepts is an advantage
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and public holidays
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making ability
