RESIDENT TECHNICAL OFFICER

Job Summary

Supervise and monitor construction site activities to ensure compliance with approved drawings, specifications, contract requirements, and regulatory standards, driving quality outcomes and resolving technical issues effectively.

Responsibilities

• Lead site supervision to ensure construction works align with approved drawings, specifications, and contract requirements
• Enforce compliance with BCA regulations, codes of practice, and project quality standards throughout construction activities
• Inspect workmanship and materials on site to verify adherence to quality and safety standards
• Coordinate technical matters with consultants, contractors, and site personnel to facilitate smooth project execution
• Participate in site meetings and produce detailed inspection records and reports to document progress and issues
• Identify, report, and manage non-conformance, site issues, and deviations to the Qualified Person promptly
• Maintain accurate and comprehensive documentation and records related to site works and inspections
• Operate independently with full-time stationing on site to ensure continuous oversight and timely decision-making

Required competencies and certifications

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, or related discipline
• Registration as a Resident Technical Officer (RTO) with IES
• Minimum 3 years of relevant site supervision experience
