Minimum Education & Experience: Bachelor's Degree in a relevant discipline. Minimum five (5) years of relevant safety supervision experience, particularly in installation and maintenance of roadside equipment, civil and structural works, and coordination with government/utility agencies and other contractors.
Professional Experience: Proven experience as a Resident Technical Officers, ensuring compliance with Environmental, Safety, and Health (ESH) practices and regulations.
Skills & Attributes: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Meticulous, resourceful, and results-oriented. Highly motivated and pro-active, able to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
Technical Skills: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint).
Communication: Good verbal and written communication skills in English.
Mobility: Willing and able to travel regularly between office and project sites.
Work Schedule: Prepared to work on-site, including night shifts when required by project demands.
Job Description
Site Supervision: Oversee construction and installation works, ensuring all site deployments, equipment installations, and structural works are executed according to specifications.
Planning & Coordination: Develop work schedules, manpower/resource requirements, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for on-site activities.
Documentation Review: Evaluate and approve work schedules and method statements prior to commencement of site operations.
Quality & Compliance: Ensure all works are carried out in compliance with design specifications, safety, health, environmental, and stakeholder comfort requirements.
Inspection & Incident Reporting: Identify and report defects, damages, theft, accidents, and other incidents affecting site infrastructure and equipment.
Training & Safety Enforcement: Conduct safety training and awareness programs. Enforce adherence to safety rules and regulations among all site personnel.
Regulatory Compliance: Participate in Safety Committee activities. Ensure compliance with local authority codes (e.g. COP, WSH Act, MOM, MOH guidelines).
Problem Resolution: Address and resolve site-related issues and unforeseen challenges promptly.
Reporting: Prepare and submit regular reports on site progress, resource utilization, and ongoing/past activities.
