Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and diligent Resident Engineer (Civil & Structural) to join our project team for a high-rise residential development at Chuan Grove. You will lead the site supervision team to ensure all works comply with approved drawings, specifications, and BCA/LTA regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Regulatory & Technical Oversight: Supervise Earth Works, ERSS, Basement, PPVC, and Architectural finishes per BCA regulations. Carry out duties as QP representative as specified under BCA regulations and report to the project QP and Project Engineer.
MRT & Rail Protection: Manage foundation piling and excavations near MRT infrastructure. Ensure strict adherence to Rail Protection Specifications and monitoring regimes.
Leadership & Coordination: Manage the RTO team (rosters/duties). Chair daily monitoring review meetings with contractors to identify trend of concern and resolve technical issue.
Contract Administration: Assess progress claims, variation works, and Extensions of Time (EOT). Review and comment on contractor methodologies/material submissions and ensure rigorous close-out of comments.
Reporting & Documentation: Responsible for daily shift reports including accurate details on incidents, labour, materials, and machinery. Maintain records of all construction changes and verify all As-Built drawings (including shop drawings).
Communication: Provide regular feedback and reports to the Consultant on progress, safety improvements, upervision security, and construction maintenance.
Requirements
Academic: Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering.
Professional: Current RE registration with IES/ACES.
Experience: Minimum 8 years of relevant experience, specifically in foundation piling near MRT lines, ERSS, and large-scale residential/infrastructure projects. Experience in PPVC construction is preferred.
Knowledge: Full conversance with local legislation, BCA codes, and LTA monitoring & instrumentation regimes.
Soft Skills: Strong leadership and a systematic approach to documentation and trend analysis.
