Research Fellow (Quantum Computation)

We are seeking a Research Fellow to lead research on advanced Rydberg atom-based quantum sensing platforms at CQT, NTU. The role involves experimental work on electromagnetic signature detection, developing robust sensing protocols, and delivering solutions for real-world applications. The successful candidate will join a multidisciplinary team and contribute to publications, project management, and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities:

• Lead research on Rydberg-atom quantum sensing platforms, including experimental design, system integration, and performance characterisation.

• Develop measurement protocols for high-sensitivity detection of electromagnetic fields, ensuring robustness in varied operating environments.

• Supervise junior researchers and collaborate across multidisciplinary teams.

• Drive publications in high-impact journals and represent the project at international conferences.

• Manage project milestones and deliverables in accordance with funding agency requirements.

• Contribute to technology transfer activities and engagement with industry or governmental stakeholders.

Requirements:

• PhD in Physics, Engineering, or related field.

• Extensive experience in Rydberg atom experiments and electromagnetic field sensing.

• Strong publication record and ability to manage complex experimental systems.

• Proven ability to work effectively both independently and in collaborative teams.
