Job Description

The successful candidate will work with Asst. Prof. Daniel Bartl on problems at the intersection of optimal transport and high-dimensional probability theory, within the project Structure in complex data.

The main responsibilities of the position include conducting research and writing scientific papers.

The contract is for one year (12 months), with a starting date of August 1, 2026 (or as agreed upon with the PI).

Qualifications / Discipline:
. A completed PhD (or one to be completed within the next six months) in Mathematics, Statistics, or Data Science.

Experience:
. Experience in writing scientific papers is desirable, for example evidenced by completed and accepted publications.
