Repair Engineer
Mobility is the goal
- Support the Repair sales force in discussions with the customer to explore elevator repair opportunities (from a technical point of view).
- Actively manage, develop, motivate, coach, and coordinate direct activities of the workgroups, in order to deliver the Schindler objectives (client satisfaction, quality, productivity, efficiency, top and bottom line).
- Optimize the team staffing by planning the personnel needs including workloads and training for effective deployment and cost control.
- Lead and provide technical support to internal staff (from service, project, sales, sales engineering department & subcontractor) to optimize the workgroups and tools to ensure timely and quality completion as per contractual obligations and code requirement to meet the objective of sales, invoicing, yield and quality of work.
- Manage repair works
- Lead / perform complex repair, part replacement, supervision of sub contractor works, troubleshoot on lifts
- Perform administrative process (e.g., Generate report, complete test reports, generate defect list, service report / delivery order for client inspection and endorsement for internal / external stakeholders).
- Perform technical assessment for the repair technicians.
- Execute leadership to technicians in matters of customer and employee satisfaction, adding value to the business, quality of work and operational efficiency.
- Perform regular audits and checks to ensure that all processes and work methods comply with quality, safety, and technical requirements.
- Supervise milestones achievement and initiate corrective actions in coordination with the repair works.
- Conduct safety walks, safety inspection and identify unsafe events, unsafe work condition
- Analyse root causes for deviations and set up corrective actions for non-conformities.
- Ensure elevators are tested in compliance with specific industry requirements and safety standards.
- Cooperation with Notified Bodies (official inspections and work order).
- Ensure all work processes comply with quality, environmental and safety procedures, and requirements.
- Ensure compliance to the code of conduct and mandatory regulations.
- Night / weekend works throughout the island are to be expected.
- Ad-hoc assignments such as technical support, training and assessments etc.
